Nominee's Bio: Mr Gideon Wiredu Awuah is the founder and executive director of FirstRate Charity Foundation. Through his role and position as founder in the past 5years, he has provided over thousands of artificial hands for upper limb amputees in Ghana, Somalia, Uganda, Liberia, Mauritania and Tanzania. His love and passion is to make the less privileged and vulnerable in society feel equal. He has catered for tuition of street children in the rural areas at Nsawam Adoagyiri through his Leave No Child Bebind initiative. He is currently the Assemblyman for Akyenaso West Electoral Area in Nsawam Adoagyiri and an orthopedic specialist under the Volta Regional Health Directorate. Provision of mathematical sets, pens and rulers during BECE examination annually and donating of stationery to schools has been amazing project in the past 5 years to over 10 schools in the less Deprived communities. His Love for women to feel equal in the the society is exceptional as he marks Dine With The Widows annually to dine with over 200 widows in villages at the Nsawam Adoagyiri municipality and give them gift such as food items, cloth and toiletries. Mr Wiredu is selfless and do all this projects with his own funds. As part of his birthday celebrations, he donates baby items to the Nsawam Government Hospital anytime its his birthday. Donating of medical devices to the Nsawam Government Hospital has also been another project he has undertaken. He wishes to do more to achieve the sustainable Development Goals to reduce inequalities.
