Nominee's Bio: The Flashback Show is a platform that allows to interact with professionals, young and rising change makers as they reveal the real and blur nature of their works. This is to support, motivate, and inspire others. We have interviewed both award winning and uprising change makers from different countries including Ghana, UAE, Greece, India, USA, England, Nigeria, Canada and many more. To mention a few, we have interviewed the likes of Dr. Patapia Tzotzoli (a clinical psychologist, winner of 2016 Mental Health Psychologist of the Year by Medical LiveWire, winner of 2017 Mental Health Psychologist of the Year - UK and Best CBT practice - UK by the Global Health and Phama Magazine Awards), Kseniya Simonova (sand artist, winner of Ukraine Got Talent season one, and top three of America Got Talent and British Got Talent), Cynthia Dankwa (actress, model and winner of 2019 “Africa Movie Academy Awards”), Liseli Sitali (Football & Music Partnerships, Director (Expedia), and Sherie Nevett (Style maker, USA). In the year 2017, we were privileged and invited by Jonathan to conduct a workshop for the inmates at the Manhyia Local Prison in Kumasi for skill development so that they can get some skills to depend on. Further, in 2019, we organized the Kwabre East Fashion Show in the Ashanti region, an event aimed to support and promote seamstresses and tailors in the community. During MIT COVID19 challenge (India turning the tide), we were part of the mentors assigned to help participants to complete their task for the competition. (August 2020). In February, 2023, we were engaged and selected by Prof. Damien L. Duchamp, a tourism expert from USA, to be co-judges for an upcycling fashion contest he organized. The contest challenged contenders to create a piece or two fashion article(s) from second-hand clothing. In collaboration with the British Council, (June, 2023) we organized a workshop for House of Grace School For The Deaf. The workshop aimed to enhance the students’ skills and empower them to create surface textile designs using dyeing methods. The primary objective of this initiative was to promote self-reliance and financial independence while also instilling an entrepreneurship mind-set. This program received support from Bamimo Enterprise, Mashkesmoothie, Los.tkid, Noble signed and Beghan designs.
