Nominee's Bio: Isaac Opoku is a dynamic youth leader and social impact advocate recognized both locally and globally for his work empowering vulnerable communities. As founder of Ghana-based Starlight Foundation, he spearheads initiatives to uplift street-connected children through education, life skills training, and access to constructive opportunities. Isaac lends his expertise coaching entrepreneurs across Africa, the Americas and beyond via MicroMentor, guiding small businesses on scaling through marketing strategies. He is also an Aspen UK Rising Fellow; a fellowship which aims to nurture the next generation of community-minded leaders to effectively navigate the challenges of working and thriving in a diverse and polarized society. Among Isaac's honors are being named a CEPS Young Thinker and UN Volunteer, along with winning multiple awards. He was a top 10 finalist for the 2021 IBRIE Social Impact Prize in the UK and 2022 Young Philanthropist Award finalist by Black Philanthropy Month in the USA and won the 2023 "Man of Excellence in Philanthropy" award in Ghana during the Ghana Business and Entrepreneurship Summit and Awards. With experience in design thinking, circular economy, communications and governance, Isaac leverages his multifaceted skill set to advocate for marginalized groups.
